Kim Victoria Cattrall (born August 21 1956) is a Canadian-born British actress famous for her character in the role of Samantha Jones in the HBO show Sex and the City for which she received five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominations winning the 2002 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. In the years 2008 and 2010 she reprised her role as Samantha Jones in the film Sex and the City and Sex and the City 2. Her leading roles include Police Academy, Big Trouble from Little China Mannequin, and Porky's from the 80s. Kim Cattrall's performance in the HBO TV comedy Sex & the City is one of the most memorable. Cattrall known as an actress, has claimed her portrayal of Samantha Jones as a career-defining performance.
